Piper

This is beautiful Piper. Thought to be Collie/Huntaway, approx 4 months old.

She has been in foster care for 2 weeks (Greta Valley) and will be ready for adoption soon.

Piper came into our care from a farm, the last of a litter to go. We were sent her trademe advert (see last photo) from a concerned person, she was in a kennel and run with filthy water, we were finally able to get her, thanks to our volunteers for not giving up.

She arrived with a swollen, sore, infected eye, the lump has gone down in size after eye drops and antibiotics, but is still there. Yesterday the vet was able to squeeze a small splinter out of it. So back again on Monday to sort it out completely, ensure nothing else is in there. Otherwise….. she’s been having a blast running around on the farm, playing with the younger dog, and learning respect from the senior one (she is Tilly, a gorgeous ex working Huntaway – adopted from PPR). Getting used to the cats and other animals. Piper is just loving the huge upgrade in life!

We are seeking expressions of interest for her adoption. Adoption process includes application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.

$300 – this goes partway towards spay, full vaccinations, chip, registration.
