Project Description

Ned

UPDATE: Ned is on hold!
Approximately 5 years old, Huntaway
Fostered rural Oamaru
Ned came to us from a farm, sadly his owner passed away. He was used to living with cats, being around children (aged 8 years plus) and sheep. Hasn’t been a working dog.
We’ve just had Ned neutered, dental – a few teeth removed, a lump removed from his paw (may have had a grass seed or similar in there from a while ago), nails trimmed, bathed, vaccinated, chipped, registered. He is really enjoying the indoor/outdoor pet life. He is a real smooch and just adores his foster Mum. This is what she has to say about him:
Ned is an easy dog with a gorgeous trusting nature. He becomes attached quite easily, and naturally wants to please people.
He has been good with the other dogs he has met. He would be happy as an only dog, or with a mate. Ignores the chooks and ducks. You need to keep an eye on him as he is used to daytime naps under vehicles. He barked the first time he had to be left home alone, but this has settled as he’s gotten accustomed to the routine.
Sleeps on the bed with me. Housetraining only took a couple reminders, but he’s got it now. Ned is looking to be a treasured companion / pet on a lifestyle property.
Adoption $200 – this goes a small way towards his costs.
