Seeking an extra special experienced home that will listen and absorb Mia’s needs, keep her safe, happy and occupied. You will be well rewarded with a great natured, delightful, clever, engaging and energetic companion!

She is a gorgeous wee girl, but has special behavioural needs. She is very friendly with everyone she meets, very responsive and wants to please, loves to be busy and playing with other dogs. Loves being on the lazy boy and snoozing with her favourite human.

Mia’s biggest challenge is being reactive on walks when she sees another dog or person of interest (NOT aggressive, but very over stimulated) she wants to say hello but is still learning how to do this calmly. She is exercised on a long lead (not extender) and harness when out and about to keep her safe from taking off. She can be let off in fully fenced/secure areas.

With a lot of time and work invested, Mia is now great around the house in foster care and no longer goes to take off over the fence at any strange sound. She can now be left free in the house for a few hours without human company. She settles and does not destroy things. Mia is always exercised before being left, and has different toys and chews to occupy her.

With the support of her behaviourist Mia has learnt a lot, she is very much a sniffer dog, she loves walks where she can smell new things and enjoys a game of “Go Find” she loves anything that will reward her, such as puzzles and games.

6ft fencing/gates required. Dog savvy kids aged 12 years plus. May be ok with a dog confident cat and owners that will integrate them slowly.

Donation – $300, spayed, fully vaccinated, chipped, registered, flea/worm treated.
