Fostered on a lifestyle block in Orari (Temuka)

Maeve came to us from a mid-Canterbury farm, not suited as a working dog. She is thriving in her foster home.

Maeve’s ideal home would have a large section / lifestyle property with another dog for company. She is not high energy but does enjoy the odd zoomie with the other dogs. Not a big barker, only in play, recall is really good especially if you have a pocket full of treats. Her favorite game is playing tug with the other dogs. She hasn’t quite worked out retrieve the ball as yet.

Maeve is shy of new meeting new people, but in her own time she will come to you and seek attention. Good with cats, gaining confidence around the ponies and sheep. Learning to be ok around the chickens and ducks and is making good progress.

Maeve’s favorite place is inside on her bed next to the other dogs, she is not keen to be on her own. Her house training is coming on really well and she sleeps inside. She is a gentle girl and loves to please, she will make a great addition to a dog savvy, caring family (older kids). All in all a lovely girl to have around.
