Fostered Oamaru

Moss is absolutely beautiful inside and out. But – sadly x-rays showed he has an element of hip dysplasia in his right hip. The neck of femur bone is a little short so the ball joint does not go right into the socket. He has good muscling around the joint, good flex range, has a happy nature and is not showing signs of pain – currently. When he came to us I noticed his hip sway, hence we got x-rays. So it’s going to be a bit trickier finding him a home that is prepared to take him on and ensure all of his needs are met. His temperament is his winning saviour.

Moss loves having a run around and play with other dogs. Not suited to hill runs, fetching, jogging – yes he will be able to do these things, but we are wanting someone that understands the long term goal for him. To balance his quality of life, being confident to notice signs of change/discomfort and have the ability and means to treat and care for him.

Adoption $200. This goes part of the way towards the cost of neuter, vaccinations, micro-chip, worm/flea treatment. We are not for profit and are continuously fundraising to cover costs.
