Tucker
Tucker, 9 months old, Lab cross, 24.5kg
Located Waimate District
Fostered on a rural property:
We could not have asked for a better dog for our first foster dog. He slotted into our family with very little disruption. Tucker bounces rather than walks, so I have nicknamed him “Roo”. He is a giant goofball. He loves being outside and running around. He’s been going on 2 to 3 walks/runs a day and helping his Foster Dad with jobs. Tucker loves being on the back of the Ute, and travels in the car well too. He loves being around people but does not necessarily want lots of cuddles – he is happy enough being near you. He gets on well with our 8 year old dog but she can’t keep up with him. Our noisy children have not phased him, he has been interested in our cats but not gone for them, and I don’t think he’s even realised we have chickens (enclosed). In the 2 weeks we have had him, his recall has improved so much. He gets into his crate when asked to, and has learned basic commands. He is very food focused and scoffs his dinner like I have never seen before! He has been an absolute delight to foster and would make someone a very loyal companion. House trained, sleeps inside.
Adoption Donation $250 to go partway towards his costs. Neutered, fully vaccinated, chip, registered.
