In foster care in rural Banks Peninsula. This is what they have to say:
“Gorgeous Tank is a sensitive pup with a big heart and very loving nature! He is really coming into his own now that he feels safe and included and loves to play!
He will be a big strong boy and is very smart so he will need consistent training, room to run and ideally another big dog to play with.
Tank knows basic commands, he sits beautifully for treats and has good recall. He is nervous/shy around new people and takes time to trust you, but will be incredibly loyal and doting once he does. Tank is more unsure of men, so my husband ignores him and Tank comes up to him when he is ready, in his own time and he is gaining confidence. He responds best to gentle instruction.
He does have a Huntaway bark and needs a rural property. Not suited to families with young children as he is still a baby himself and is learning not to steal shoes or jump up on tables etc!
Enjoys leash walks, learning not to pull. Great with cats and chickens. Loves other dogs. House trained and sleeps in a cosy crate overnight.”
