Skye – Adopted!
DOB 02/2024
Labrador
Fostered Waimate
Seeking an extra special home
Watch:
Skye is a gorgeous calm girl, she is enjoying going for walks and loves to swim, is very good around other dogs and children.
She has settled in nicely with the cats after initial supervision. She loves being around people and enjoys affection and being brushed. House trained and sleeps inside.
We have had Skye’s hips x-rayed, she has hip dysplasia. She does not currently show any signs of pain or discomfort. A specialist has viewed her x-rays. Skye will need a special new carer that is able to manage this, eg low impact exercise, lots of mental stimulation and able to recognise any changes and provide her with Vet care as needed.
Residential home only – Skye recently worried sheep on her previous rural property and needed somewhere to go asap. With her new lifestyle in foster care including training, enrichment and being included as a special part of the family, she is thriving. Skye is a pleasure and a joy to have in our care.
Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.
$300 – Spay, micro-chip (on NDB), vaccinations, registration, flea/worm.
We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters. Residential properties require 5-6ft fencing/gates. Owner occupied homes. Please email us all about your home and why you think that Skye would thrive in your care.
