Project Description
Penny
Penny, approx DOB 03/2024
Huntaway cross
Fostered in Waimate
Penny is fearless, so brave and adventurous (except with the chickens). She’s the smoochiest of them all, loves belly rubs and soaks up all the praise and kind words with obvious joy.
Good recall unless something more interesting comes along.
She is fascinated by the cats, if they run, she will chase – one on one training will help with this. Penny will bark at the chickens if they are on the other side of the fence…. but open the gate to their enclosure and Penny stays back, she learnt as a pup not to annoy these feathery wee beasts.
Penny has a severe overbite. When her adult canines come through, the lower 2 will need to be removed as they will press up into her gums, causing pain and discomfort. This will be arranged prior to her adoption.
Housetrained and sleeps inside.
All of these puppies have so much to offer the right homes, they are already amazing dogs but will continue to grow in to brilliant members of their future families.
Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.
Adoption $200 – (covers a small part of their costs). Includes spay/neuter, micro-chip (NZCAR), vaccinations, flea/worm. We are a registered charity CC60695 and do ongoing fundraising.
* Please read the information listed at the top of our dogs for adoption page which includes how to register your interest, thank you! *
