Project Description

MOSS

PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW CAREFULLY – THANKS

Moss, 14 weeks old, Collie (heading dog) x Huntaway mix (Fostered in Oamaru).

He was surrendered to a Vet clinic and came under our care. Needed urgent vet care. Diagnosed with Puppy Strangles, has since recovered really well. He’s on Prednisone, which is a steroid he’s given it just once a day in the morning with food. It will be tapered down over the next month and if all goes well when tapering it it’s unlikely he’ll have any issues with strangles again. They tend to have a full recovery and live totally normal lives. The medication makes him drink and urinate more but otherwise nothing really notable.

“A beautiful natured pup. Lover of big fluffy beds, cuddles, and attention. He’s a great wee pup, and is already not afraid to have a romp with the bigger dogs for a chance at a chew toy. He’s going to be around the same size as the other dogs in the photos – about 20-25kg. Has a decent bark on him, will need a home with a decent amount of space. Good energy levels – happy to run around whenever we’re home but then sleeps really well at nights and is crate trained.” Looking for an active family home – rural/semi rural, where he can be an important part of daily activities, enjoy lots of adventures and mental stimulation.

Another social adult dog in the family would be beaut. Donation – $350 – to go towards part of the cost of vaccs, chip/reg, neuter (when he is a bit older). Flea/worm up to date. We have an adoption process. We do meetings once this has been successfully completed. We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters. Stock fenced properties require a fully secure/safe containment area for no one is at home. Email us about your home and why you think that Moss would thrive in your care.
