Fostered in Waimate with other dogs, cats and chickens.
Mahi is a delightful beautiful big boy. He came from a farm, he had a Scrotal Hernia and was going to be shot, but luckily someone reached out to us for help. Mahi had his operation to fix the hernia the day after he came into our care (2 weeks ago) and he is now ready for a fabulous new home.
Mahi is a happy, friendly, playful boy. He enjoys meeting new people, loves interacting with the other dogs and is good with confident cats. A little unsure around the chickens.
He has a big bark and can be vocal during play and when he gets excited. He is learning to be ok when his humans go out, he has the other dogs for company and settles after a few minutes.
Mahi will need an active family that can provide him with plenty of daily activities and adventures on a spacious rural property. He loves games, playtime with the other dogs and long-lead walks with lots of sniffing. When tired he will curl up in his bed and have a good sleep. Mahi is getting there with housetraining and sleeps inside.
Donation – $350 to go towards a part of the cost of vaccinations (2 parvo, kennel cough), chipping, registration, neuter (when a bit older).
