Please note: we have an adoption process (including property visit) to match our dogs up to the homes that best suit their needs. If interested, please message us about your home and why you think Layla would be suited to your lifestyle. You need to be happy to travel to meet her (upon successful completion of application process). Due to our current workload we may not be able to get back to everyone.

Just before Covid lockdown, we got an 8 week old puppy in – he was the last of a litter to go, then several months ago we got another littermate from the pound and now Layla. Mum is a beautiful brindle Staffy (now spayed), Dad is a Bichon mix.

Layla is a recent arrival and is settling in well, initially she barked a lot – if I even just left the room. She is getting used to being crated when I am not home (for short periods) and settles in there, with warm blankets in the lounge. Sleeps well overnight.

Doesn’t require a huge amount of exercise (two 20 min walks a day would be sufficient), but does need plenty of human attention and interaction. Her front legs are a bit bow-legged – she is more likely to develop arthritis when she gets older – the vet has advised to keep her weight down, and restrict high-impact activities to limit this risk.

Overall Layla is a delight with such a beautiful nature, we are looking for a home to treasure her. She is good with other dogs and loves playing with the pups. You will need to be patient with settling her in and happy to do some basic training. Not suited to full time workers. Owner occupied home preferred. Must be fully fenced and gated – 5ft. Kids aged 8 years plus. Living with a confident cat is possible – but training must be done so she learns not to chase.

Adoption – $250 – includes spay, vaccinations, micro-chip, registration, flea/worm.
