Kane, 10 yrs old, Lab/Staffy mix
Fostered – Kaiapoi
Sadly Kane’s owner became unwell and was no longer able to care for him.
We are really pleased with how Kane has settled into his foster carer’s home. He is looking happy and healthy.
He is a beautiful senior that loves companionship, walks and playing. He is still an active boy. He has recently had surgery to remove a fractured tooth and a small lump on his eyelid, we had full bloods and urine tests done. Vet staff said he was a lovely natured boy.
It’s now time to find a new home for him where he can spend the rest of his days.
From his foster carers: Kane, the beautiful white Polar Bear as we call him. He loves playing with our younger female dog, playing with his ball and his rope toy. He is a very gentle dog and loves interacting with people. He is very chilled in the home environment.
With training he now walks well on lead in our yard but once out the door he can lose his ears. He is strong on lead and will need someone who is willing to invest in training. He also enjoys sniff walks in quiet locations on a longline. He is reactive to other dogs when on lead – hence a good experienced owner is needed.
Kane would suit a home where someone is home for some of the day, he also doesn’t mind just chilling by himself for a couple of hours. Suited to children 8 years plus. House trained and sleeps inside. Needs a well fenced section and cat free home.
Adoption Donation $150 to go towards a part of the cost of his vet care. Fully vaccinated, chipped, registered, flea/worm treated. Already neutered.
