Ginny used to be a working dog at the shearing sheds but once Covid hit she was no longer needed. We were recently contacted to see if we could take her in, we are pleased they reached out to us as she deserves a loving retirement home.

Her body looks quite worn out, she possibly has some arthritis in her right elbow. Her skin is itchy, we are working on this. Her new home will need to be completely happy to meet her medical needs to ensure she is comfortable as possible.

She has very quickly adapted to being an inside dog and is housetrained. Loves sleeping on the couch or bed. Doesn’t take much notice of the other dogs (doesn’t want any young ones jumping around her). Not too interested in the cats. Loves a walk and a good sniff around, excellent recall. A bit jumpy of town noises.

We’ve had Ginny spayed (she was in early stages of pregnancy), she has recovered well and has an extra spring in her step. Today she went back to the vet to have 3 broken/worn incisors extracted. Fully vaccinated, chipped, registered, flea/worm treated.

If interested in adopting Ginny, please email or message us about the home you would be able to provide for her. Feel free to ask any questions.

We have an adoption process to match our dogs up to the home that best suits their needs. A property visit will be carried out to ensure safe containment. 2 week trial period (upon completion of successful application).

Based in Oamaru, North Otago
Thank you for considering adoption!
