Duke, DOB 4.9.2022
Staffy/Collie mix. Expected to be medium size when fully grown (5kg – 13.11.22)
Fostered in Timaru in a busy household with kids aged 11 years plus, cats, smalls dogs, 1 big dog, chickens in enclosure.
Duke is the wee runt, he arrived shy. He has gained confidence in his foster home and is a total sweetheart. He is currently being fostered with his sibling Daisy, but she is now on hold for a new home.
From his foster family:
Duke loves people, follows us round the backyard & gets super excited when the kids get up in the mornings & when they get home after school. Lots of excitement when hubby finishes work, just whenever he hasn’t seen someone for a while, he’s so happy when they reappear. Full booty shaking tail wags! Happy to meet new people.
Loves toys and tug of war with other dogs (he doesn’t win). He enjoys being around the other dogs and loves to snuggle with them at nap time. Getting used to the other animals – was wary of the chickens at first.
He uses the dog door without issues. Having 3 meals a day & nap times in his crate. Sleeps all night without a peep in his crate, then straight outside to toilet when let out. Toilet training still in progress.
Donation -$350 to go towards a part of the cost of vaccination, chip, council rego, neuter (at 6 months).
