Project Description
Bruce
Bruce, DOB 06/2023 Heading / Huntaway
Fostered Oamaru, lifestyle property
Handsome big Bruce came to us from a local farm. He was not cut out to be a working dog.
He has seamlessly made the transition from working dog lifestyle to companion dog. He’s loving it! After a good play and zoomies around the farm with his playmate, he loves to have a spot in the sun. He loves cuddles and affection. Very sociable with people. He is good with horses. OK with a confident cat that doesn’t run (getting better). A very quick learner. He hasn’t had any accidents inside, the door is usually open. His recall is getting better and he learnt some basic training. Only barks when the other dogs bark. Seeking a lifestyle property that will treasure him as a companion and enjoy adventures, another social dog would be ideal.
Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.
$200 – Includes neuter, micro-chip (on NDB), vaccinations, flea/worm. We are a registered charity CC60695 and do ongoing fundraising.
South Island adoptions only. We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters. Stock fenced properties require a fully secure/safe containment area for no one is at home. Residential properties require 5.5-6ft fencing/gates. Owner occupied homes.
