Project Description

Please read the following info carefully before getting in touch. Thank you

Lou, 5.5 month old black female Huntaway/Collie mix (Fostered in Waimate).

Lou and her 9 littermates came to us from a farm at just over 12 weeks old.

From Lou’s foster Mum: “Lou is such a precious girl. She is so happy to run around and play with other dogs but equally just as happy snuggling up and relaxing. Lou is very food motivated so will be so easy train. She is very good on her lead but when she gets a fright about something she will run between your legs for safety and when you’re not paying attention it may trip you up. But she is gaining more and more confidence each day. She would suit a home with other dogs or if she is the only dog to have someone home to keep her company. She is very happy just lazing on her bed when at the vet clinic. Everyone was so in love with little Lou at puppy preschool last night. She was so well behaved and the kids absolutely adored her and she adored them.”
Respectful, gentle children 5 years plus. Cat free home – foster has cats, but Lou shows a lot of interest to chase if they run (more so than what her siblings did).

Looking for a loving family home that can continue to give Lou confidence in new environments. Rural/semi rural home, where she can be an important part of daily activities, enjoy lots of adventures and mental stimulation. Donation – $400 – to go towards part of the cost of vaccs, chip/reg, neuter (when a bit older). Flea/worm up to date. We have an adoption process. We do meetings once this has been successfully completed. We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters. Stock fenced properties require a fully secure/safe containment area for no one is at home.

Give one of our dogs a second chance today, speak to us about the adoption process.
