Poppy

DOB 1/2025
Huntaway x Beardie. 28kg
Fostered in Dunedin

Described by someone that met her –
This girl is the sweetest thing in the world, she is such a darling, so full of love, so playful, so amazingly awkward. She flopped backwards on me, ball in mouth, tummy on full display, just happily getting some loves.

Poppy is a beautiful natured girl! A real delight. She has been around horses, cats, free range chickens, other dogs and children- lovely with all.

When travelling in the car she will bark at larger vehicles.  She does not bark when at her foster carers home – it’s spacious and away from traffic, her ideal home would be similar or on a lifestyle property, with another social dog.

Poppy needs plenty of interactions, fun games, sniff walks, outings and adventures.  Not suited to a full time working home. House trained and sleeps inside.

Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.

$350 – includes vaccinations, neuter, micro-chip registered on NZCAR, flea/worm up to date.

Owner occupied home. Rural properties need a fully secure containment area for when no one is at home. Residential 6ft fences/gates.  We do home out of the district (within South Island) and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters.

Tell us about your home and why you think that Poppy would thrive in your care.

Could you give me a home?

We have a constant stream of furry friends waiting for a new forever home. Can you provide a warm and welcoming space for them to thrive?
