Kyro has a very sweet, gentle nature. She can be quite timid and unsure at first, so she’s looking for a calm, patient home that will give her time to build confidence and feel safe.
Once she trusts you, Kyro is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. She enjoys cuddles, relaxing in the sun, snoozing nearby, and simply being part of the family.
She walks beautifully on lead and is very easy to handle out and about. Kyro can sometimes bark at passing dogs, but she has shown no aggression — she appears to simply lack confidence and socialisation experience. With slow introductions and patient guidance, she continues to make great progress.
Kyro has also started showing a more playful side in foster care and absolutely loves her rope toys! We have completed “Wag” Calm K9 training with her and she has done incredibly well. We’ve also been working on basic skills such as lie down, spin, and shake. She’s eager to learn, loves working with her people, and genuinely wants to please.
We have been told she is good with children, although this hasn’t been personally tested in foster care. She would likely thrive best in a quieter, stable home environment.
Kyro may be suited to living with another calm, well-socialised, patient dog, provided introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully. We are cat testing Kyro, will update here with the info.
Overall, Kyro is a loving, gentle soul who will form a very strong bond with the right person. She’s the kind of dog who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included.
