Fia has settled in wonderfully. She is a beautiful young deaf pup with a bright personality, sharp mind, and a very affectionate nature.

She is confident, playful, curious, and loves being involved in whatever is going on. She enjoys meeting people, exploring new places, and playing with other dogs. She has also lived happily alongside cats here and has learned to respect their boundaries well. After a busy day, she is more than happy to curl up on your lap for a cuddle and a snooze.

Fia has made great progress with routine and early training. She is sleeping well overnight, doing very well with toilet training, and has started learning basic cues such as sit, focus, and outside toileting routines. She travels well in the car and is gaining confidence with lead walking and public outings.

A very intelligent pup, also strong-willed and likes to test boundaries, as many young puppies do.  As Fia is deaf, she will need a home that understands her additional needs and is willing to use visual cues, structure, patience and positive reinforcement to help her continue to thrive.

Seeking a very special home. Google mental stimulation for dogs, positive rewards training, puppy acclimation.

If you live residential, 6ft fences/gates are required. Rural- a fully secure/safe containment area for when no one is at home.

Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.

$400 – vaccinations, neuter when older (pre-booked/followed up on), chip/NZCAR, council registration, flea/worm up to date.

We do home out of the district (within South Island) and can arrange property visits. Please email us about your home and why you think Fia would thrive in your care.
