Mattie (f)
Approx DOB 6.11.25.  Fostered at Temuka

Update – On hold for a new home.  Thanks everyone for your enquiries.

Mum – Border Collie x 20kg

Dad – Border Collie/Heeler x 32kg. Both are being neutered.

Mattie is a super social, affectionate little girl who adores people and will happily crawl straight onto your lap for cuddles. She loves other dogs and greets them in a very gentle, submissive way, quickly gaining confidence and instigating play.

She can be unsure around loud noises and new environments and will need patient support to build her confidence, but her loving and trusting nature shines through. Playful, cuddly, and eager to please, she is willing to learn and will be easy to train, already mastering sit and down and working on waiting before eating. She sleeps soundly at night in her crate but loves to start the day with her favourite thing of all — jumping into bed for a morning snuggle!

Mattie would love a home with a dog friend, or a family that have a good dog social network! She gets so wiggly when she see’s a new dog friend. She also loves the cats and people – she’s just super social and that tail is almost like a helicopter.  Sleeps inside as a part of the family.

Seeking an active family home that understand the needs of the breed, both physically & mentally (google mental stimulation.) Mattie is just a baby and needs someone home for at least half of the day to ensure that she continues to thrive.

* Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check.
* We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.
