Archie – Adopted
Mini Dachshund

DOB 31.7.25
Fostered Waimate
Update: On hold for a new home

Archie is a spirited wee man with a big personality!
He is very happy, playful and loving.

Archie can get overstimulated during playtime and become nippy (has improved in foster care).  Requires a motivated home that will supervise and redirect this energy and provide him with plenty of mental enrichment.  These are the things he has not had prior to coming into our care, it’s important that we set him up for success!

He needs older dog confident children 12 years plus. Best suited to well socialised adult dogs.  Likes cats, but requires training to learn not to chase if they run.

He is going very well with toilet training, not crate trained. Sleeps on his bed at night.  He will thrive and be a beaut wee dog for the right home.

Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.

$400 – includes neuter when older (pre booked and followed up on), vaccination, micro-chip/NZCAR, flea/worm.

We do home out of the district (within South Island) and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters.

Please message us all about your home and why you think that Archie would thrive in your care.

Save Lives. Stop the Breeding. Spay/Neuter.

Could you give me a home?

We have a constant stream of furry friends waiting for a new forever home. Can you provide a warm and welcoming space for them to thrive?
