Finn – on hold

DOB 25/7/24
Huntaway / Husky
Fostered Dunedin

Finn came into our care needing surgery to repair his fractured leg. He has had recovery time carefully managed by his foster carers and is now ready to seek a forever home. He is not expected to have any future complications with his leg. The usual monitored/restricted puppy exercise routine and quality puppy food until 18 months old is required. Finn has been through a lot in his short lifetime, his new carers will need to be extra special.

Finn is an active, sweet natured pup, he loves snuggling. Happy meeting new people, haven’t had him around children as yet. He is fostered with other dogs of all ages and gets on well with them, loves to play. Loves his food.

He is ok with the cats, but if they ran, he would likely chase (training/supervision needed). He currently sleeps overnight in a crate with a cosy bed and toys, but suspect he would love to be up on our bed.

He has been no problem to foster. Even George thinks he’s a sweet boy. His new carers will need to be dog savvy, motivated and dedicated in providing ongoing training and lots of daily mental stimulation. Requires good 6ft fencing/gates and a fully secure containment area for when no one is at home.

Adoption process: application form, property visit, vet history check. We do meetings once the adoption process is successfully completed.

$350 – Includes neuter (later, pre-booked and followed up on), micro-chip (on NDB), vaccinations, flea/worm, registration.

We do home out of the district and can arrange property visits. We do not send the dogs away on transporters.

Owner occupied homes. Please email us all about your home and why you think that Finn would thrive in your care.  poundpawhelp@gmail.com
